L.A. Live, Entertainment and shopping district in South Park District, Downtown Los Angeles, USA.
L.A. Live is an entertainment, restaurant and shopping complex in the South Park District of Downtown Los Angeles, located directly beside the Crypto.com Arena. The area extends across several city blocks and includes two hotels, a cinema, bars, a nightclub and the Grammy Museum dedicated to music history.
The first buildings opened in October 2007 after construction started in September 2005. Completion of the entire complex took place over several years, with new sections gradually becoming available to visitors.
Large outdoor screens and open plazas draw people together before sporting events or concerts. These gathering spaces connect the different buildings and serve as meeting points for visitors from across the city who spend time together before or after an event.
The entire area can be explored on foot, with most facilities accessible at ground level. Those visiting certain restaurants during weekday lunch hours between 11 AM and 2 PM will find free parking available on site.
The 54-story tower holds two different hotel brands and private residences within the same building. This combination allows permanent residents and hotel guests to share the same address and certain facilities, something rarely found in downtown Los Angeles.
