Automobile Driving Museum, Automobile museum in El Segundo, United States.
The Automobile Driving Museum is an automobile museum in El Segundo that holds around 130 classic, antique, and vintage cars produced between 1886 and 2000. About half of these vehicles are on display at any given time, offering views of how car design and engineering evolved.
The museum was founded in 2002 by car collector Stanley Zimmerman and architect Earl Rubenstein with the goal of preserving automotive history. Its collection includes a notable 1936 Packard touring phaeton that was originally gifted by Roosevelt to Stalin.
Dedicated to automotive education, the museum presents detailed information about each vehicle's engineering and impact on transportation developments throughout different periods.
The museum is located at 610 Lairport Street and sits just about 5 minutes from LAX airport, making it convenient for travelers. Guided tours are offered and parking is available on site.
Every Sunday, visitors can take rides in selected vintage vehicles guided by the museum's experienced staff members. This hands-on experience lets guests feel how these historic cars actually drive rather than just viewing them as stationary displays.
