Christ of the Sacred Heart is a colossal statue standing 75 feet tall atop El Morro, constructed with a steel frame in the upper section and fiberglass lower portions. The figure with outstretched arms dominates the coastal landscape and remains visible from various points in the surrounding area.

Antonio Pequeño Guerrero commissioned the 23-metre statue, which stands on a summit above El Morro where a small cross once stood and locals placed flowers on holy days. Pequeño is buried at that summit.
