Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Animated dark ride in Disneyland, California, United States.
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin is a dark ride in Disneyland, California, United States. Visitors board vehicles shaped like taxis that spin as they move along tracks through three-dimensional sets.
The ride opened its doors in January 1996, bringing scenes from the 1988 film into the world of Toontown. Engineers built moving figures and effects to recreate the story of the movie.
The name comes from the film, where Roger Rabbit is an animated rabbit living in a world where cartoons and humans exist side by side. Guests see characters and backdrops that recall American cartoons from the 1940s, with bright colors and exaggerated shapes.
Children need to be at least 32 inches (81 centimeters) tall to board. Each taxi holds up to four people, and every car has a steering wheel that guests use to influence the spinning.
Each taxi spins independently from the others, so no two rides are exactly alike. Passengers decide how much they want to turn by pulling or holding the steering wheel.
