Gadget's Go Coaster, Steel roller coaster in Mickey's Toontown, Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland, US and Japan.
Gadget's Go Coaster is a steel roller coaster in Mickey's Toontown featuring eight connected cars on red tracks with colorful support beams throughout. The ride moves passengers through a landscape designed to look like a mechanical workshop.
This junior coaster was created in 1993 through a partnership between Disney Imagineering and the manufacturer Vekoma for Disneyland. A version was built later in Tokyo, adapted to fit the different layout of that park's Toontown.
The ride tells the story of Gadget Hackwrench, a clever mouse character who invents contraptions and gadgets. As you travel through, you see her mechanical creations displayed throughout the track and surrounding spaces.
Each train holds 32 riders, and guests must be at least 35 inches tall to board. Two trains operate at the same time, which means lines typically move more quickly than on single-train attractions.
The motion feels like a gentle sway rather than a stomach-dropping plunge, with the train bouncing through curves and twists at an easygoing pace. This style makes the ride enjoyable even for younger or hesitant riders.
