Snow White's Scary Adventures is a dark ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park in California where guests board mine carts that travel through scenes from the fairy tale. The route passes through several rooms featuring animated figures, lighting effects, and sets depicting moments such as the forest, the castle, and the dwarfs' cottage.
The ride opened in 1955 on the park's opening day and was among the first attractions in Fantasyland. In 1983 it underwent a major redesign that made the title character visible throughout the journey, rather than showing only supporting roles.
This experience draws from the studio's first full-length animated film released in 1937, presenting fairy tale figures in moving scenes. Visitors encounter the same motifs that generations of children recognize from the movie, such as the mirror and the apple.
The ride lasts about two minutes and is open to all age groups without a height requirement. Guests with limited mobility can remain in their wheelchairs or mobility aids while boarding the vehicle.
During the 1983 redesign, planners replaced a physical poisoned apple prop with a projection after many guests tried to take it home as a souvenir. This change helped keep the flow uninterrupted and was later adopted in other rides.
