The Riverside International Automotive Museum occupied a 20,000-square-foot building erected in 2006 to house the Magnon family's car collection. Its showroom held history-making race cars and an example of every Maserati model sold in the U.S. since 1951. In one corner, two service bays let visitors watch restoration work in progress.

Ray and Doug Magnon, a father-and-son racing pair of Italian descent, founded the museum in 2006 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit and opened it to the public in December 2007 in a 20,000-square-foot building. Doug Magnon died in 2015; the museum closed in June 2016 and the cars were sold at two auctions that year.

The museum hosted annual Legends of Riverside Film Festivals, where racing figures participated in interviews and discussions about motorsport history.

The location was accessible to visitors and offered tours through the vehicle exhibitions. Motorsport fans could see the restored and operational cars up close and learn more about their history.
