Orange Show Speedway

Orange Show Speedway, Race track in San Bernardino, California

Orange Show Speedway is a quarter-mile asphalt oval racing track located in San Bernardino, California, built inside what was once a football stadium. The venue holds about 8,500 spectators and hosts races for various stock car classes including Late Models, Street Stocks, and Legends, along with special events like drift competitions and demo derbies.

The track opened in 1947 and is one of the oldest continuously operating racing facilities on the west coast of the United States. It hosted the NASCAR Winston West Series between 1963 and 1978, and again from 2016 onwards, establishing its significance as a training ground for drivers progressing to higher levels.

The track serves as a gathering place for the local racing community, where families and enthusiasts come together regularly. It has developed a friendly character over the decades, connecting generations of drivers and spectators who share their passion for motorsport here.

The speedway is located about one mile north of I-10 on I-215, with ample parking and straightforward access from local roads. Check the online schedule for race dates, as most events happen during warmer months, and plan for food vendors and merchandise shops available throughout the venue.

The track was built inside an old football stadium, making it architecturally unusual among racing facilities in the United States. This unconventional construction allowed a functional racing venue to fit within limited space and contributes to its distinctive place in short-track racing history.
