Arví Park

Arví Park is an ecological park in eastern Medellín with extensive forest areas and numerous walking trails at high elevation. The site offers various routes through natural areas and woodlands for visitors to explore.

Archaeological investigations in the park revealed numerous pre-Hispanic structures, including an ancient trail with preserved sections. These findings show the area has been used by people for centuries.

Local vendors near the cable car station sell traditional Colombian dishes and handcrafted items from the Antioquia region. These sellers are woven into the daily rhythm of the area and connect visitors to regional craftsmanship.

Visitors can reach the park via Line L of the Medellín Metro system, which connects to a dedicated tourist cable car leading straight to the main entrance. Wear sturdy shoes as trails pass through wooded slopes, and weather at this elevation tends to be cool and damp.

The park preserves one of South America's oldest known walking trails, with origins reaching back centuries. This historic path remains partially walkable and links different parts of the region as it did in earlier times.
