The complex includes five identical towers reaching 72 meters in height and containing 390 residential apartments in the center of Bogotá.
The construction of these residential structures began in 1974 and reached completion in 1977 during a period of urban development initiatives.
The towers bear the name of Spanish conquistador Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada, who established Bogotá in 1538 as the first governor of New Granada.
Located near Universidad de los Andes at 2,618 meters above sea level, the complex provides residents with access to educational facilities and urban services.
A resident named Clarita Yusti Lozano has lived in tower 1 since its construction, maintaining a collection of international souvenirs in her 82-square-meter apartment.
