Our Lady of Chiquinquirá Church, Gothic Revival church in Chapinero district, Bogotá, Colombia.
The church features three sections with lateral windows, a rosette depicting the Virgin of Chiquinquirá, and blue cross vaults reaching 25 meters in height.
Construction of the church began in 1919, and after its completion in 1959, it served the local community under the leadership of Father Fray Juan Alonso Suárez.
The Dominican friars manage this Catholic sanctuary, which maintains regular liturgical celebrations and provides spiritual guidance to both Colombian and international visitors.
The church administration office operates weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturdays until noon, offering services and religious resources to the community.
In November 2023, Pope Francis elevated the church's status to Minor Basilica, with an official ceremony scheduled for July 7, 2024.
