Cueva de la Quebrada del Toro National Park, National park in Falcón, Venezuela.

The park spans 8,500 hectares within the Lara-Falcón hill system and contains mountain ranges, dense forests, and underground water formations.

The Venezuelan government established Cueva de la Quebrada del Toro National Park on March 21, 1969 to protect the water resources and natural formations.

The local inhabitants of Santa Cruz de Bucaral initiated a movement in 1965 to protect the El Toro creek basin and its surrounding ecosystem.

Visitors need to arrange guided tours through INPARQUES rangers, access the park via the Coro-Churuguara-Santa Cruz De Bucaral-La Taza route, and bring appropriate lighting equipment.

The park contains Venezuela's largest known underground river, featuring a 500-meter-long reservoir that supports boat navigation through the cave system.
