Abasolo Municipio

Abasolo Municipio is an administrative division in Guanajuato, Mexico, extending across agricultural land in the El Bajio region. The territory comprises flat, open countryside with several towns and rural settlements spread throughout.

The area was renamed from Cuitzeo de los Naranjos to Abasolo Municipio in 1963, honoring independence hero José Mariano Abasolo. This change marked a new phase in the region's identity.
