The three-story mansion contains more than 8,000 objects, including artworks, furniture, and personal belongings of British surrealist painter Leonora Carrington.
The Metropolitan Autonomous University purchased the residence from Carrington's son in 2017, six years after her death, to preserve her artistic legacy.
The building transformed from a residence into a documentation center focuses on research and education about Carrington's contributions to surrealist art.
The house is located at 194 Chihuahua Street with convenient access from Álvaro Obregón bus station in the Roma Norte neighborhood.
The kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and study maintain their original configuration from when Leonora Carrington lived there for more than 60 years.
