The religious complex, established in 1535 along the royal road to Veracruz, marks the first convent foundation in Puebla by Franciscan friar Toribio de Benavente.
The interior walls feature a large painting depicting the Franciscan order genealogical tree, representing the connection between generations of religious members.
The temple remains open for visitors from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM every day, situated at Boulevard Heroes del 5 de Mayo intersection with 14 Oriente.
The lateral chapel preserves the physical remains of Sebastian de Aparicio, maintaining their original condition since the 16th century.
