Parque Ecológico Cubitos, Ecological park in Pachuca Municipality, Mexico
The natural protected area spans 90.4 hectares across Pachuca de Soto and Mineral de la Reforma, featuring walking trails and recreational spaces.
The area received official designation as a State Park on December 30, 2002, following earlier urban planning efforts to protect Cubitos and Zopilote hills.
The educational facilities include an interactive farm, botanical garden, and environmental monitoring center that promote conservation awareness among visitors.
The park opens Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, weekends from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with no entrance fee.
The Tuzuario represents Mexico's first facility dedicated to studying and exhibiting live specimens of prairie dogs in their natural habitat.
