Parque Ecológico Cubitos is a protected natural area spanning parts of Pachuca de Soto and Mineral de la Reforma, with walking trails, gardens, and learning spaces throughout. The grounds include zones for exploring native plants and wildlife, along with areas for rest and observation.
The area gained official protection as a State Park in 2002 following earlier efforts to preserve the Cubitos and Zopilote hills from urban expansion. This designation marked a key moment for protecting the natural landscape in the Pachuca region.

The grounds are open during daylight hours and have no entrance fee. Come with sturdy footwear and bring water, since the paths cross varying terrain throughout the park.
