Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos is a coastal town in Quintana Roo stretching along the Caribbean Sea with white sand beaches and clear waters ideal for swimming. The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef lies just a few hundred meters offshore, making it accessible for exploration without extensive travel.

The port settlement began in 1898 as a strategic point for transporting goods between the mainland and Cozumel Island across the Caribbean. This trade route made it a vital commercial hub for the region.
