Arena Place, Theatre and office complex in Sharpstown, US
Arena Place is a mixed-use complex in the Sharpstown area of Houston, made up of two 19-story office towers and a circular theatre building. The theatre seats around 2,850 people, and the towers together hold a large amount of office and commercial space across their floors.
The theatre opened in 1965 with financial backing from entertainer Bob Hope, who supported arts venues in several American cities. The two office towers came later, added in the early 1980s to expand the site beyond its original purpose.
The theatre hosts a year-round program of performances and serves as a key venue for live music and performing arts in the city. Visitors will find regular shows and can experience the local arts scene directly.
The complex sits at an easily accessible point in Houston with direct connections to major roads, making it straightforward to reach by car. Two multi-story parking garages on the property can accommodate a large number of vehicles, so finding a space is generally not a problem.
The circular shape of the theatre was designed so that no seat is more than about 65 feet (20 meters) from the stage. This layout means that even the farthest rows feel close to the action, which is rare for a venue of this size.
