Haslet is a residential community north of Fort Worth in Tarrant County that spans across multiple square miles of neighborhoods, commercial zones, and open spaces. The area is defined by its proximity to major transportation routes that connect the region to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
The Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway laid tracks through the area in the 1880s and named it after Haslett, Michigan, the hometown of one of their contractors. This rail connection shaped the early growth of the place and its importance as a transportation hub.
