Talampaya National Park, Nature reserve in La Rioja Province, Argentina

The national park spans 2,150 square kilometers of desert landscape with red sandstone formations and walls reaching heights of 143 meters.

The area contains significant paleontological sites with fossils from the Triassic Period, dating back more than 250 million years.

Ancient petroglyphs decorate the canyon walls throughout the park, displaying the artistic expressions of indigenous communities who inhabited the region.

Visitors can explore the park through guided tours, including 4x4 adventures through Talampaya Canyon and panoramic trekking experiences.

The narrow canyon section features a botanical garden of native flora and serves as a habitat for local wildlife including guanacos and condors.
