Piton Textor

Piton Textor is a basalt summit in Le Tampon reaching approximately 2,200 meters within Réunion National Park. Its slopes consist of dark volcanic rock with steep, jagged formations created by intense geological forces over time.

The peak formed through volcanic activity that shaped Réunion over millions of years in the Indian Ocean. The basalt structures visible today are direct evidence of these ancient geological processes that continue to define the island.
