Schroeder Park, Baseball stadium in Houston, US
Schroeder Park is a baseball stadium in Houston with red canopy structures covering the upper seating areas, a large video display, and indoor training facilities. It holds approximately 5,000 spectators and includes grass seating areas along the outfield lines.
The park opened in 1995 and replaced an earlier baseball field that occupied the site of the current Hofheinz Pavilion. Its construction was made possible through a major donation from university alumnus John Moores.
The walls here display names and photos of notable baseball players from Houston Cougars history, connecting today's visitors with the university's baseball story. These reminders of past players shape how people experience walking through the venue.
The facility provides good accessibility with wheelchair spaces distributed along the concourse level and accessible paths to the grass seating areas. Note that the red canopy covers only portions of the seating, so bring sun protection if needed.
A major video display was installed in 2015 and ranks among the largest in college baseball facilities across the country. This upgrade allows spectators to follow game action more clearly from all viewing positions.
