Pinecrest Gardens

Pinecrest Gardens is a botanical garden spanning 14 acres with diverse ecosystems including cypress wetlands, tropical hardwood forests, and riparian zones. The site displays over 1000 plant varieties arranged in both naturalistic and cultivated garden sections.

The property originated as part of the Parrot Jungle Historic District and received National Historic Landmark designation in 2011. This official recognition reflects its importance as a preserved historical site within the region.

The Banyan Bowl amphitheater hosts music performances, dance shows, and theatrical productions throughout the year under a geodesic dome. This gathering spot brings artists and audiences together for cultural events in a natural setting.

The gardens are open daily with extended hours during warmer months. Visitors should wear comfortable walking shoes since exploring the site involves traversing naturalistic areas with uneven pathways.
