The Tampa Heights Historic District spans 200 acres with 289 historic buildings, bounded by Adalee Street, Interstate 275, 7th Avenue, and North Tampa Avenue.
Established in the late 19th century as one of Tampa's first suburbs, the district received its National Register of Historic Places designation on August 4, 1995.
The district contains residential structures that demonstrate Mediterranean Revival, Mission Revival, and Bungalow architectural styles from the early 20th century development period.
The Architectural Review and Historic Preservation office provides detailed documentation of the district's landmarks and properties at 2555 E. Hanna Avenue in Tampa.
Lee Elementary School of Technology World Studies stands within the district as the first brick school constructed in Hillsborough County, Florida.
