FGCU Soccer Complex, University soccer stadium in Fort Myers, United States
FGCU Soccer Complex is a university soccer facility featuring Pickering Field with permanent chair-back seating and natural Celebration Bermuda grass surfaces. Professional lighting allows for night matches, and the venue can hold around 1,500 spectators with concession stands and media facilities.
The facility opened in 2008 as part of the university's athletic development. In 2014, it became the first FGCU venue to host an NCAA Division I Tournament match, which helped raise the profile of the soccer program.
The student section known as The Dirty Birds brings energy to home matches and shows how deeply soccer connects to campus life. Student supporters make the stands part of the game itself.
The complex is straightforward to navigate with clear pathways and adequate parking on the grounds. Arriving early on game days helps you find good seating and gives you time to explore the concession areas before matches begin.
The venue has hosted exhibition matches for professional teams like DC United and Chicago Fire, as well as the U-17 Mexican National Team. This shows how the facility has gained recognition beyond college soccer as a location for high-level play.
