The South Florida National Cemetery extends across 313 acres of land with organized sections containing more than 33,000 burial sites for veterans.
Opening its gates in 2007, this cemetery became the fifth national cemetery in Florida and the 125th addition to the United States national cemetery system.
The cemetery functions as a memorial site where families gather during national holidays to honor veterans through ceremonies and floral arrangements.
The administrative office operates from Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, with cemetery grounds open daily from sunrise to sunset.
The Veterans Legacy Memorial platform connects to the cemetery database, allowing digital tributes and military service documentation for each interred veteran.
