The Robert C. Williams Paper Museum displays over 100,000 artifacts including manuscripts, rare books, prints, hand tools, and industrial papermaking equipment through permanent exhibitions.

Founded in 1939 at MIT by Dard Hunter, the museum moved to Wisconsin in 1954 and finally settled in Atlanta in 1989 at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology.

The museum collection demonstrates paper evolution from ancient writing materials to current manufacturing methods, incorporating global techniques and production methods from different civilizations.

The facility provides specialized educational programs, field trips, workshops, and guided tours for students, scouts, and adults, with activities aligned to specific age groups.

This institution holds the largest collection of paper and paper-related artifacts worldwide, featuring watermarks, tools, machines, and manuscripts from various historical periods.
