Bobby Dodd Stadium, Historic football stadium in Downtown Atlanta, United States
Bobby Dodd Stadium is a football venue with 55,000 seats on the Georgia Institute of Technology campus in Atlanta. The facility extends over multiple grandstand sections with direct views of the playing field and surrounding campus buildings.
The facility opened on September 27, 1913, making it the oldest continuously used on-campus football field in its category. The current name was adopted in 1988 to honor the longtime coach.
The name honors one of the most successful coaches in the school's history, who shaped the program for over two decades. Students and alumni gather here during home games wearing the traditional gold and white colors of their institution.
The location near the intersection of North Avenue and Techwood Drive allows access through several public transit lines. On game days, parking areas are available around the campus perimeter.
On October 7, 1916, the venue hosted the game with the highest margin in college football history, when the home team won 222 to 0. This result still stands in the record books and will likely never be surpassed.
