W. W. Orr Building

The W. W. Orr Building is an eleven-story Art Deco skyscraper constructed of concrete with a steel reinforced core and subtle ornamental details featuring scientific motifs on its exterior. The structure sits on Peachtree Street and currently houses medical offices as part of Emory University Hospital Midtown operations.

Completed in 1930 by architects Pringle and Smith, this building became Atlanta's second medical office structure after a previous facility was lost to fire. It marks a significant moment in the city's rebuilding of its healthcare infrastructure.

Medical symbols including serpents and staffs adorn the building's exterior, marking its role in Atlanta's healthcare profession. These decorative elements remind visitors of the health-focused purpose that has defined this location since the start.
