The Georgia Power Company Corporate Headquarters is a 24-story high-rise in downtown Atlanta. The building features a stepped southern facade where each floor extends progressively outward.

The headquarters was completed in 1981 as the company's new main office. It replaced an earlier location housed in an older building at the corner of Alabama and Forsyth streets.

The building reflects how Atlanta transformed during the 1980s, with modern office towers reshaping the downtown character. It marks the shift from earlier business districts to a contemporary skyline.

Each floor on the southern side extends about 15 inches (38 centimeters) beyond the one below, which serves as a sun-control strategy. This design significantly reduces the building's energy use through natural shading.
