TWELVE Centennial Park, Residential skyscraper in Downtown Atlanta, United States
TWELVE Centennial Park is a mixed-use residential tower in downtown Atlanta that rises 39 stories above Centennial Olympic Park. The building houses residential units alongside a hotel section and ground-level retail and dining spaces for visitors and residents.
Construction of this tower began in 2005 and was completed in 2007 as part of downtown Atlanta's redevelopment. The project was initially planned as twin towers but was reduced to a single structure following the economic downturn of that period.
The building stands near major Atlanta institutions including CNN Center, Georgia Aquarium, and the College Football Hall of Fame.
The complex sits next to Centennial Olympic Park and is easily accessible on foot from the business district and nearby museums. The mix of hotel, residential, and retail spaces makes the location convenient for both visitors and people living in the building.
The site for the planned second tower was left vacant with development blueprints in place after the economic crisis reshuffled the project plans. This incomplete second phase remains visible today as a reminder of how economic shifts shaped downtown development.
