Medical Arts Building, Beaux-Arts medical building in Downtown Atlanta, United States.
The Medical Arts Building is a 12-story Beaux-Arts structure at 384 Peachtree Street with tan brick walls and limestone detailing on its facade. It originally housed medical offices, a drugstore, cafeteria, and commercial spaces designed to serve healthcare professionals and their patients.
Architect G. Lloyd Preacher designed and completed this building in 1927 as a modern medical center combining offices and services. It became an important hub for healthcare professionals in the downtown area.
The Junior League ran a tea room here that became a gathering place for medical professionals and residents. This social space served the community for decades as a popular meeting point.
The building is located on a major downtown street that is easy to find and access on foot. Underground parking is available, making it convenient for those arriving by car in any weather.
The building remained vacant for more than 25 years before being transformed into a 160-room hotel. The renovation preserved the original marble flooring and ornate lobby staircase, revealing the craftsmanship of its original construction.
