The Academy of Medicine displays neoclassical architecture with Doric columns, black and white Italian marble floors, and a central rotunda with domed ceiling.
Built in 1941 by architects Hentz, Adler & Shutze, the building housed the Medical Association of Atlanta until the 1970s before joining Georgia Tech.
The Academy maintains its original architectural elements while serving as an educational and event space within the Georgia Tech campus community.
The central auditorium accommodates 250 people for ceremonies, seminars, musical performances, and lectures with professional event management services available.
The rotunda features a Czechoslovakian chandelier that appeared in the film 'Gone With The Wind' and remains a centerpiece of the building.
