999 Peachtree is a 28-story tower located at the corner of Peachtree Street and Tenth Street in downtown, featuring postmodern architectural elements. The building contains office spaces ranging from 1,500 to 22,643 square feet, along with a nine-story parking structure and direct links to public transit.

Built in 1987 by Heery Architects and Engineers, the structure was originally named First Union Plaza and served as the headquarters for First Union National Bank of Georgia. Its completion reflected a major development phase in Atlanta's business district at that time.

The ground floor holds Empire State South restaurant, a gathering space for diners and professionals. The Peachtree Club near the top serves as a meeting place that reflects how the city's business community socializes.

The structure sits at an intersection with strong public transit connections and houses a large parking garage on site. Keep in mind that most spaces are office-only, but the dining venues on the ground floor and near the top are open to visitors.

In 2019, the tower earned LEED Platinum certification, becoming a standout example of sustainable retrofit in commercial architecture. This achievement shows how existing office buildings can be transformed to meet modern environmental standards.
