Yellow Daisy Festival, Arts and crafts festival in Stone Mountain Park, Georgia, US
The Yellow Daisy Festival is a four-day event in September with over 400 artists and crafters displaying handmade works across a meadow under trees. Artists present items ranging from ceramics and jewelry to home goods at booths spread throughout the park grounds.
The festival started in 1968 when craft vendors sold their works from horse stalls. From this modest beginning, it grew into a major regional arts event.
The festival features live music on multiple stages where regional artists perform throughout the grounds. A dedicated Vintage Village displays farmhouse-style furniture and decor from different regions, inviting visitors to browse and shop.
Arrive early as the best handmade items sell out quickly and crowds grow as the day progresses. Comfortable shoes are essential since walking between hundreds of booths spread across the meadow takes time.
The festival takes its name from wild yellow daisies that once covered the Stone Mountain Park grounds. Those flowers continue to inspire the annual art event, even though the blooms now appear in different spots across the park.
