Hickory Log Creek Dam is a gravity structure made of roller-compacted concrete located north of Atlanta in Cherokee County, Georgia. The facility harnesses water from the creek to supply drinking water to the surrounding communities and operates as a major water management installation.

Construction of the roller-compacted concrete dam was completed in December 2007, not February 2008, and the reservoir then took about two years to fill. The City of Canton and the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority built it as a drought-contingency supply, splitting costs 25/75 in proportion to water use. The Corps of Engineers issued the permit in 2004, and Alabama challenged it in federal court in late 2007 over downstream effects on the Coosa and Alabama rivers.

The reservoir is named for Hickory Log Creek, whose several miles were submerged when the lake filled. Canton takes 25% of the water and the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority 75%, a split matching the project's 25/75 cost sharing. Because most of Cobb and all of Douglas and south Paulding lie in the Chattahoochee basin, the transfer is partly interbasin.

The dam is located near the intersection of Bluffs Parkway and Fate Conn Road for convenient access. Visitors should note that this is an active water infrastructure facility, so access to certain areas may be restricted for safety reasons.

The dam is one of the largest in Georgia not built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or Georgia Power. Its roller-compacted concrete was produced on site in a Johnson-Ross batch plant using aggregate from the nearby Lafarge quarry in Ball Ground, then carried up the hill by a conveyor system and spread in 12-inch lifts by a bulldozer.
