Edisto Island Presbyterian Church is a white clapboard building with a gabled portico of four columns on its front. Its long side holds five tall arched windows below four small rectangular ones, with an arched-fanlight door at the right end. A square tower rises behind the portico, topped by an octagonal belfry with arched openings and a domed cupola with a cross.

The congregation was founded in 1685, and the present church was built in 1831. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 24, 1971, and the congregation belongs to the Presbyterian Church (USA).
