Edisto Island Presbyterian Church

Edisto Island Presbyterian Church is a brick structure built in the early 1800s, featuring substantial Greek Doric columns that frame its front entrance. The rectangular building displays a triangular pediment above the columns, with a circular window at its center and a decorative band running beneath the roof line.

The congregation traces its origins to 1685, though the building standing today was constructed in 1831. The structure represents one of the earliest Presbyterian houses of worship established in the United States.
