Gregangelo Museum, Private art museum in Monterey Heights, San Francisco, United States.
Gregangelo Museum is a private art space occupying twenty-seven rooms within a Mediterranean-style house in the Monterey Heights neighborhood. Each room contains distinct artistic installations, mosaics, and works that together form a cohesive artistic environment.
The residential house was built in the 1920s and began its transformation into an art center during the 1980s under Gregangelo Herrera's direction. The space gained official recognition as a cultural landmark in 2024.
The space functions as a working studio where circus performers and visual artists share rooms and create together. The mix of installation art and performance training creates a living environment where different artistic disciplines intersect.
Visits require advance reservations, and guided tours accommodate groups ranging from two to fifty people. Photography is not permitted to preserve the immersive artistic experience.
The collection includes works from local artists who also participate in circus training at the site. This blend means the installations continually evolve, with new pieces being added as the working artists develop their practices.
