Rubicon Estate is a winery in Rutherford, Napa Valley, California, set on a property with vineyards, stone buildings dating back to the 19th century, and underground cellars. The grounds also include a visitor center and production facilities where red wines are made and aged.
The estate was founded in 1879 by a Finnish sea captain named Gustave Niebaum, who built it into one of California's first recognized wine producers. More than a century later, filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola bought the property and continued making wine there.
