Bay Point is a residential community on California's Suisun Bay shoreline, situated in the southern part of the waterfront area. The settlement combines neighborhoods with homes and direct access to the bay, creating a mixed landscape of houses and open water.
The area was first known as Bella Vista, then became West Pittsburg before residents chose a new name. In 1993, voters approved changing it to Bay Point, giving the settlement the name it carries today.
