Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest, State forest in Lake County, California, US.

Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest covers almost 3,500 acres of an elongated rolling highland at the southeast end of the Clear Lake Volcanic Field. A simple ridge crest runs through it, with long spurs reaching southeast toward Putah Creek, and the topography levels out around 3,000 feet. Volcanic rock shows in most parts of the forest; lower slopes are chaparral, mostly manzanita, while higher ground held mixed Douglas fir, ponderosa pine and sugar pine.

The state purchased this land in the late 1940s to demonstrate forest management practices. A major fire in 2015 significantly changed the landscape and recovery continues across the property.

The forest serves as an educational center for demonstrating proper forest management techniques and sustainable timber production methods to industry professionals.

The forest lies about 10 miles (16 km) north of Middletown on Highway 175, roughly halfway between Clear Lake and Calistoga. Camping, hiking and mountain biking are permitted, and group tours could once be arranged with the forest manager. Volcanic rock shows in most parts of the forest, and the terrain is gently rolling with peaks at the north and south ends.

The forest's 1952–2005 research plots were measured ten times, with every tree over 11 inches in diameter mapped; four continuous forest inventory checks followed at five-year intervals from 1991 to 2006. Two harvests used horses to skid logs, partly to study how logging affects the spread of black stain root disease.
