Baker House

Baker House is a three-level residential building in Sea Ranch with walkways connecting its floors and large windows throughout. The exposed wooden beams and window placements frame views toward the Northern California coastline.

William Turnbull designed this residence in 1968 as an early example of Sea Ranch architecture. The building marked a formative period in how this coastal community was being developed.

The wooden construction and sloping roofs show how the house fits into its natural surroundings. Visitors can see how the building respects the landscape rather than dominating it.
