Cascades Raptor Center, Wildlife rehabilitation center in Eugene, Oregon.
The Cascades Raptor Center maintains a collection of 40 resident education birds, treating between 400 and 700 injured raptors each year in their specialized facility.
Founded in 1987 and incorporated in 1990, the center relocated to its current location on Spencer's Butte in southwest Eugene during 1994.
The facility stands on the traditional lands of the Kalapuya people, who shaped the Willamette Valley's biodiversity before their forced relocation in the 1850s.
The Louise Shimmel Wildlife Hospital operates daily from 8 AM to 6 PM, providing emergency care services for injured birds of prey throughout Oregon.
Two licensed rehabilitators with over 45 years of combined experience work alongside seven consulting veterinarians specializing in avian health and surgery.
