The tower stands on land that once belonged to Simon Benson, a timber industry leader who shaped Portland's growth in the early 20th century. Construction was completed in 2007, marking a transition from the site's residential past to modern urban development.
The tower introduced modern Vancouver-style architecture to Portland's urban landscape through designs by IBI Group from British Columbia.
The building is accessible from street level and offers good views of downtown Portland. Its central location makes it easy to reach by public transportation and walkable from nearby shops and restaurants.
