English architect Frederick Manson White designed this 1895 building, which initially housed a liquor wholesale business, dance hall, and concert space on different floors.
The building reflects the late 19th century social needs of Portland through its multipurpose design incorporating entertainment and commercial spaces under one roof.
The concert room spans 72 feet in length, 42 feet in width, and reaches 27 feet in height, supported by reinforced timber trusses.
The foundation combines pilings, concrete footings, and brick piers, while iron columns support the second floor's concrete and wood construction.
