Hotel Rose, Boutique hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon, US

Hotel Rose is a 140-room boutique hotel in downtown Portland, Oregon, across from Tom McCall Waterfront Park. It opened in 1964 as the Riverside West Motor Hotel and has also operated as a Four Points by Sheraton and Hotel Fifty. The interior features pineapple-yellow decor, chalkboards, and a chandelier made of beer bottles.

The Riverside West Motor Hotel opened in 1964, facing busy Harbor Drive before Tom McCall Waterfront Park existed. It later became a Four Points by Sheraton, then Hotel Fifty after Coastal Hotel Group bought it in November 2007. Hotel Fifty finished a $7 million renovation in October 2008, and in 2013 Pineapple Hospitality rebranded it Hotel Rose.

The hotel's name comes from Pineapple Hospitality, which acquired the property in 2013 and rebranded it Hotel Rose. A stuffed husky named Dash serves as the hotel's hospitality mascot, and guests have been offered cupcakes, coffee, and pineapple water in the lobby. The on-site restaurant became the gastropub Bottle + Kitchen in June 2014.

The hotel sits near Tom McCall Waterfront Park with direct access to walking paths along the Willamette River and downtown attractions. Guests can easily explore the surrounding area on foot, particularly when using the complimentary bicycles.

The lobby's chandelier is made of beer bottles, and a stuffed husky named Dash serves as the hotel's hospitality mascot. Guests have been offered cupcakes, coffee and pineapple water in the lobby, and the hotel's resort fee covers beach cruiser use, a fitness center and umbrellas.
