ODS Tower is a commercial high-rise in Portland featuring 24 floors with a glass and steel exterior that creates bright workspaces. The building sits in the heart of downtown and allows views across the city and surrounding areas from its upper levels.
The building was completed in 1999 during an active period of office development in Portland's downtown. Its design by ZGF Architects reflected the commercial growth happening in the city at that time.
The tower's name comes from Moda Health, the insurer that became its main tenant after ODS Health Plans rebranded as Moda; the building was previously called ODS Tower. Its ground floors hold city-mandated retail space, occupied by Nordstrom Rack and formerly by Copeland Sports.
The main entrance opens onto a 60-foot atrium leading to the ground-floor retail space, where Nordstrom Rack occupies part of the first four floors. A four-level parking garage serves the building, and the curving eastern facade tracks a bend in the Willamette River. An observation deck sits on the roof.
