Umpqua Bank Plaza

Umpqua Bank Plaza is a 19-story office high-rise in downtown Portland with a distinctive red brick facade and ground-floor retail spaces. The structure provides office floors along with underground parking and direct connections to the public transit network nearby.

The building was constructed in 1975 originally named Benjamin Franklin Plaza after its first major tenant. Cast iron elements from an earlier demolished neighboring building were incorporated into the new structure during construction.

The building serves as a workplace hub in Portland's financial district where hundreds of professionals conduct business daily. Its presence as the headquarters location has made it a recognizable landmark in the city's downtown area.

The location is easily walkable and served by multiple bus routes, making access straightforward for visitors. Since this is an active office building, note that many interior spaces are restricted to authorized personnel only.

The building earned LEED Gold certification in 2012 for its environmental design features and sustainable operating systems. This recognition was notable for a structure from the 1970s that underwent significant upgrades to meet modern ecological standards.
