Seabrook, beach town on the Pacific Coast of Washington State, USA
Seabrook is a planned community on the Washington coast in Grays Harbor County, set on a wooded bluff above the Pacific Ocean. The homes follow a craftsman architectural style, and the grounds include parks, direct beach access, swimming pools, and sports courts.
Seabrook was founded in 2004 by Casey Roloff and his wife Laura, who started by building a family home on this coastal bluff and gradually shaped it into a broader community. Over the following two decades, the settlement grew to include hundreds of residences spread across the site.
The name Seabrook reflects its location by the sea, and areas like Makers Village are built around local craft and creative work that visitors can see and experience directly. Shops and workshops in that part of the community give a sense of how residents and guests engage with hands-on making.
Seabrook is easy to explore on foot since paths and beach promenades connect most of the area. Visiting during the day gives the best chance to enjoy the parks and open spaces when they are most active.
Seabrook is not an officially recognized city and has no mayor or city council of its own. Instead, the whole community is privately managed, which gives it a structure quite different from most residential areas in the United States.
