Marymere Falls, Forest waterfall in Olympic National Park, United States
Marymere Falls plunges 90 feet through dense forest vegetation, creating a white cascade against dark rocks covered in green moss.
The waterfall received its name from Mary Alice Barnes, whose family settled in the Olympic Peninsula during the late 19th century.
Native American tribes of the Olympic Peninsula considered this location sacred and incorporated its waters into their traditional ceremonies.
The trail extends 1.8 miles round trip with 500 feet elevation gain, featuring wooden boardwalks and two separate viewing platforms.
The falls maintain strong water flow throughout winter months due to high rainfall, while spring brings additional volume from mountain snow melt.
